04/18/2003: "Laws, Just VS. Unjust"

LAWS, JUST VS. UNJUST - A distinction made in deciding to engage in civil
disobedience. A just law is created by both a majority and minority, and is
binding on both. An unjust law is created by a majority that is binding on
the minority, when the minority has no voice in creating the law.
Dr. King
said, "A just law is a man-made code that squares with moral law or the law
of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with moral law. One
who breaks an unjust law must do so openly, lovingly and with a willingness
to accept the penalty."

JOINT

He makes peace IN HIS HIGH PLACESand upon whom does not His Light shine?all the while my breath is in me, and The Spirit of God is IN MY NOSTRILS.
--Job 25 &27

And Solomon burned INCENSE in high places.
--I Kings 3

For I have become like a bottle in THE SMOKE, yet I do not forget your statutes
Psalm 119:83

The Smoke that inspired, David, second king of Israel, and, a man after Gods own heart, to write the many encouraging & comforting words of his Psalms is represented in the ancient Hebrew/Chaldee, qiytor, A FUME, A CLOUD OF SMOKE, rooted in, qatar, TO JOIN through the idea of FUMIGATION in a close place; TO SMOKE, i.e. TURN INTO FRAGRANCE ( FRAGRANT CANE, Kanah-bos, Cannabis or medmj) BY FIRE (especially as an act of worship):- TO BURN FRAGRANT INCENSE! Qatar is also the primary root for, q(e)toreth,
A FUMIGATION OF FRAGRANT INCENSE (aka, per-fume-KJV). Qatar is also the primary root for, q(e)tar, knot, riddle and JOINT! When David quipped about how The Smoke caused him to feel, he may have been saying, Dont bogart that q(e)tar!

For whether we be BESIDE OURSELVES, it is to God; or whether we be sober, it is for your causeand thanks for AN ODOUR OF A SWEET SMELL, a sacrifice acceptable & well-pleasing to God.
--St. Paul, another infamous stoner, II Corinthians 5:13 & Philippians 4:18

I believe this website is ridiculous. How can one miscontrue the scriptures in this way? God doesn't want us to smoke marijuana. And the fact that the Bible says Solomon burned incense doesn't imply he smoked marijuana. This whole idea is obsurd.

I'm not quite sure whether to laugh or cry because of the misuse of these Bible verses . . . I don't see marijuana, or any other name for it mentioned in any of these Scriptures. The word "smoke" does not always mean marijuana; in case you potheads haven't noticed, smoke does come from other places!! You can smoke pot if you want to, but if you really want to follow Christ, your time would be better spent serving others rather than shutting yourself off from reality. Jesus Christ is very much alive and real today, and if you call yourself His you should reexamine Scripture with prayer and humility to find out if God really
approves of smoking weed.

Many people today will try to change the meaning of scriptures...this website here seems to be one...
here are scriptures and things to think about before belive that smoking Ganja is good.
have you ever heard of the Pharmakeia argument. Pharmakeia is a Greek word found in the New Testament that means medication, pharmacy, magic, sorcery and witchcraft. Its root is pharmakon which refers to a druggist, pharmacist, poisoner, magician or sorcerer. God clearly states that Pharmakeia (the use of drugs) is a sin in Galatians 5:19-20--The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft" (Pharmakeia). In other cases Ganja is a mind altering drug. God doesnt want that. I Peter 5:8 says Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. So why get high and let Satan mess with out minds. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." (Isaiah 40:8)

In reading comments that were put on the website I intriuged by one in peticular. The reference to "Pharmakeia" which I found nothing on in the bible (several versions)!

Ivan B said @ 05/22/2004 01:55 PM CST

I'd like to comment on the first quote ("Job 25 &27").
I've seen this light, and the feeling is unlike anything of this world. I found it through Meditation. I found Meditation through my near death experiences with Satan, drugs.
"peace in his high places" refers to your spirt leaving your body through meditation, and entering a place of inconceivable peace and bliss.
It's like a near death experience, the only difference is, "all the while my breath is in me"
Drugs have never brought the kind of peace and humility that meditation brings.
