TOPIC: Biblical References???
Thank God for this web page... Amen! Hey everybody I've been struggling with my stance on marijuana. I know for sure that I like it, but does God approve of my use of marijuana (cannabis). At first I couldn't tell, then I felt justified, then I felt wrong, but now I'm cautiously optimistic. I found (or God showed me) a verse that gave me hope: Romans 14:19-22 **************************************************19Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. 22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin. **************************************************I can really relate this to smoking/eating marijuana or any other drug for that matter (however these are not my focus). Is there anyone out there who feels the same way? Marijuana is not for everyone especially for young Christians trying to get away from drug (including alcohol) abuse. Other scriptures that I've found encouraging: Genesis 1:29/ Psalms 104:14,15 So brothers sisters I ask you please, please rebuke and correct me if I am wrong or encourage and help guide me if I am right. TO GOD BE THE GLORY... AMEN
