Jamaica: NATIONAL COMMISSION ON GANJA
It is the view of the Commission that the punitive sanctions administered by the justice system to users of small quantities is not only unjust but is a major source of disrespect and contempt for the legal system as a whole. Moreover, the punishment meted out to such offenders has not had and is not likely to have the desired effect of a deterrent. Administering the present laws as they apply to possession and use of small quantities of ganja not only puts an unbearable strain on the relationship of the police with the communities, in particular the male youth, but also ties up the justice system and the work of the police, who could use their time to much greater advantage in the relentless pursuit of crack/cocaine trafficking.

Abraham Series: The True Covenant
People tend to think that the ‘Abrahamic’ Covenant is something God began with Abraham, but in fact it is the same Covenant established in the first chapter of Genesis. God does not change.

Part 2: What is Christian Psychology?
There are good arguments presented to the Christian against psychology. I offer both sides in the hope that you, the reader will view the many opinions, test it to see if it measures up to the word of God and make an informed decision about Christian Psychology. I also wish to remind the reader, that I am reporting the opinions of other people and therefore I may not necessarily agree.

Richmond Declaration of Faith (1887)
It is under a deep sense of what we owe to Him who has loved us that we feel called upon to offer a declaration of those fundamental doctrines of Christian truth that have always been professed by our branch of the Church of Christ.

The Iliad
This version of The Iliad by Homer was translated by Samuel Butler. It should be very helpful for those using the classical approach or "whole books."

THE PURPOSE OF TRUTH
AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE."
Physical and natural death must continue until the course of human history has completed its term. And only God the Father knows when that will be, but God has given us all we need to escape the pending judgement of the wrath of God, which wrath is not just physical death but spiritual death, and ultamatly eternal separation from all that is diety. The wrath of God is nothing less than to be forever separated from all knowledge that is our God, in short to be disasociated from God himself.

CHILDREN OF THE COVENANT: To Whom Does the Promised Land Belong?
The "promised land." What a bone of contention it has been. Nations have fought to the death over this crossroads in the dusty desert for millennia. Most recent conflict in the Middle East has been a claim war over the land that was promised to Abraham. Arabs and Jews trace their physical and spiritual lineage back to Abraham, and Christians trace their spiritual lineage back to him. So, exactly what was promised to whom when God gave a chunk of real estate to Abraham and his descendants, and what conditions were placed on the covenant between God and Abraham? This article follows the covenant God made with Abraham through its various stages of development.
Is it a foregone conclusion that the land alternately called Palestine and Israel belongs to the Jews?

Idolizing the Family
I contend here that the Christian church in America today has made an idol of the family. Idolatry can be defined as the act of making a created thing an object of worship. It is no light matter to place any creature in the place of the Creator. Idolatry always takes the gifts of God and attempts to use them specifically to achieve what we want, i.e., to use them for our own comfort and/or power. Take the word "idol" and look up the verses listed under it in your concordance; this will show you how very seriously God views the matter of idolatry. It is not as though we have not been warned. We have and the warnings are heavy. Why is it such an important issue to our Creator-Redeemer? God simply says in Exodus 20:5, "for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God."

God Quits - Says You Can All Go To Hell!
"I'd be lying if I told you that a part of me doesn't wish I could take back the words I uttered but a few hours ago. I'm sorry I rushed from the pulpit and hid in my office, but the shock and betrayal on your faces was more than I could take ..."

Abraham Series: Personal Relationship With God
Thus, Godly awareness is what Abraham exhibited in a way that everyone could understand. He turned from knowing the world's way, and toward knowing God's way. He would have an exclusive, deeply personal relationship with God, and as a result, he could be the pathway for God to bless all families of the earth.

The Unknown God
If you talk to people who believe in God, you soon realize many know very little about God. He might as well be the Unknown God.

Abraham Series: Covenant Marriage
Abraham's true relationship with God---exclusive of any other input---did not happen until after he and Lot parted, after he went to Egypt scouting a home-site, and after Abram had exhausted his own efforts to produce a family. Once these things were out of the way, Abram accepted the name change and the marriage/Covenant token (circumcision). Abram wasn't in full agreement, but Abraham was. God would provide the home and the children.

Why House Church Isn't the Answer
Jesus did not leave us with a model to build, but a guide to follow. We experience the life of the church not because we meet a certain way or in a certain place, but because we learn to listen to God together and let him teach us how to share his life. If we substitute any method or design for that process, we will end up following it instead of him and building a counterfeit instead of the real deal. Beware of any model or would-be leader who wants to tell you what to do, rather than help you hear him Jesus. Are there real leaders in the Body of Christ today? Of course! But they are not heading up movements or devising models, they are helping people know who Jesus really is and learn how to follow him. Religion results when men and women, with their best intentions, best activities and best programs try to accomplish God's working.

God's will in Everyday Living
As we celebrate the dawn of a new millennium the world makes their resolutions. Unfortunately, these resolutions quickly dissipate when the routines of daily life and the insufficiency of the flesh become reality. No matter how lofty or noble their resolutions may be, without the spirit of God they simply lack power. Even as Christians, our human endeavors are doomed to failure without the spirit of God working in us. Therefore each of us should resolve this year to live each day in the will of God

THERE IS A DIVINE APPOINTMENT
WHEREVER YOU ARE IN LIFE, AS IT RELATES TO HOME, WORK, SHCOOL, MONEY, FRIENDS, PEER PRESURE REGARDING SEX, DRUGS, DRINKING, BILLS, DEBT ETC. NO MATTER WHAT, BELIEVE GOD. KEEP FAITH, DON'T LOSE HOPE. IF WE STOP BELIEVING GOD WE WILL LOSE HOPE. WHEN I LOST HOPE, I LOST MY JOB, I LOST MY MINISTRY, I ALMOST LOST MY WIFE AND FAMILY, BUT WHEN I BEGAN TO BELIEVE GOD, I BEGAN TO EXPECT IN GOD, AND I EXPERIENCED GOD'S PROVIDENCE IN MY LIFE.

Articles on Prayer Teams
God has called us today to a new level of prayer in order to break down the barriers which Satan has raised up against people in our world. 2 Cor. 4:4 tells us "the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ." It does not say may not, or might not, or not very well, it states they cannot see it.

Reclaiming the Promised Land: Prophetic Destiny or Overzealous Zionism?
One could say not much has changed since God said through his prophet Ezekiel, "This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the centre of the nations, with countries all around her." (Ezekiel 5:5, NIV) Today, as then, Jerusalem is the geopolitical center of human concern. If there's any conflict in the world that has the potential to escalate into world war, it's the conflict in Israel, which focuses intensely on control of Jerusalem. But what should one make of the Jewish attempt to fulfill the prophecies of the "promised land"?
