Excellent observation. Just because we took pot out of our culture dosen't mean 1st century Jerusalem did. There is little doubt that cannabis would have been consumed.

It's a picture of a 3000 year old mummy holding a long pipe and he has a bowl full of Marijuana next to him. The article says "The marijuana was remarkably well preserved" That makes me wonder if the archeologists smoked any of it! hahaha
